You can enjoy the many meats cooked to perfection by Owen, at Method at Sykes House Farm, Wetherby on Sunday 24th August 2025 from 3pm. Come hungry!
A South African braai is more than just a barbecue; it's a cultural celebration, using wood or charcoal over gas grills which imparts a smoky flavour to the meat.
Iconic Braai Dishes: Boerewors (a coiled sausage), marinated lamb chops, are staples. Owen will also be cooking Rib eye steaks, butterfly lamb shoulder, peri peri lamb sausages, chicken and vegetable skewers, accompanied by feta and olive Greek salad, stuffed goats cheese sweet peppers, mozzarella pearls with cherry tomato and basil, corn on the cob, potato, caper, egg and crunchy carrot pickle salad and the famous Chakalaka: A spicy vegetable relish that complements the grilled meats.
Finished with a refreshing peppermint crisp tart.

York Food Festival
At the 2025 York Food Festival, Owen is scheduled to perform a live cooking demonstration on Sunday, September 21st, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at St Crux Hall, located at the bottom of The Shambles. This event is free to attend and offers a chance to watch Owen prepare dishes that highlight his unique fusion of flavours.
In addition to his festival appearances, Owen operates as a private chef in the Harrogate area under the brand "Cook with Owen." He has also developed a line of spice mixes, including an award-winning onion bhaji mix.
